A woman's journey of self-discovery at the behest of her soldier husband who died as a result of wounds sustained in Afghanistan.
SYNOPSIS:
The story is about, JENNIFER MANEY BARRETT, a determined mother-to-be who works a menial job as a cashier. Her husband, MICHAEL BARRETT, while stationed in Afghanistan is killed. She decides to go to Afghanistan to collect her husband's remains much to her in-law’s chagrin as she is pregnant with their next generation. At the base she reads a letter left to her by her husband prior to going on his last mission. In it he wants his unborn child to see the world for the good that it holds. This prompts her to go on a journey of discovery that takes her through UN missions in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Ashrams in India. All the time with her goal to go to strife stricken Syria. She ends up on the Turkish border and finally makes her way to the UN camp in Syria on the border with Turkey. The camp is overtaken by ISIL and she's rescued along with the refugees with the assistance of her husband's unit. The journey highlights to her, as her husband has wished, the goodness that is in humanity when morality is at its lowest. A life lesson for her child. Once back in the US, she is part of a UN mission. Her journey has allowed her to go from humble cashier to a resilient woman of stature.Tagline: The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.
