Integrity, honour, and discipline are the hallmark tenants of any soldier protecting his family and nation. Juggling them, though, is tumultuous. Can one put the needs of the many ahead of the needs of the one or the few? How long could a man last doing what he knew to be wrong, if his family needed him to continue?
SYNOPSIS:
A soldier, GEORGES S. HOWE (Army Ranger) is discharged, after a failed mission on his last tour, and returns home with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. At home he's greeted by the news that his daughter, RACHEL, has a debilitating disease. A significant amount of money is needed to procure the treatment that she needs and deserves. Many jobs either close their doors to him or have him fired. Eventually his partner in the Afghan theatre, MIKA FABRITIUS (UtJR - Finnish Utin Jaakarirykmentti Regiment), offers him a lifeline. Georges can work for Mika's security company offering protection to VIPs and diplomats - something that which Georges was trained to do, and do well. Turns out that guarding VIPs is a cover, Georges is a contestant in a game of life and death arranged by one of the arms of Night Watch to entertain its members and by its members who wager on its outcome. The match is filmed from the point of view of cameras hacked by Night Watch to provide all angles to the match. Georges discovers that he’s nothing more than a mere prized bull of one of Night Watch’s members that has hired Mika to find him a worthy fighter. Georges will go with the flow until he can find a way to bring down Night Watch. SYLVIA (Georges' wife) although apprehensive at first, acquiesces, as they need the money for Rachel's treatment. While Sylvia finally agrees, Georges can't escape his far more significant internal demons. In the course of his security work, he uncovers a nefarious organisation, NIGHT WATCH that has been at the heart of global finance, and politics for eons. He needs to juggle, providing the treatment for his daughter, and yet avoid falling victim to Night Watch while attempting to put a stop to its goals. Georges is engaged in a race against the clock: the money he is making for what he knows is wrong, versus the need to provide for his family. Eventually, he learns that he no longer has a choice to quit, for his employers are not who they seem, and he's caught in a sicker, more destructive vortex of horror and abuse. What happens, when one of the pillars of a man's being is suddenly torn away, and all he has left is anger, hatred, and revenge? Tagline: Laws control the lesser man. Right conduct controls the greater one.
