SYNOPSIS:
ZOOBOTIC is an action-comedy in the vein of JURASSIC PARK, but with a little more humor like MEN IN BLACK. Zoobotic is a theme park containing robotic recreations of the world’s most dangerous predators. The lifelike robots are completely docile, allowing the guests to have hands on encounters with tigers, lions, sharks and even mythical creatures like Big Foot. When a teen is injured at Zoobotic by one of the robots, the struggling robotic zoo is forced to settle with the boy’s family. With attendance down at the money losing zoo and its future looking bleak, the owner of Zoobotic decides to close the zoo for good. However, he plans to go out with a bang by reprogramming the animals to battle each other to the death for a reality TV show. The park’s engineer who designed, built and programmed the animals refuses to go along with plan and is fired. The fired designer implants a computer virus into the robots, that he believes will force them to shut down and peacefully rebel against any commands to be violent. To get the animals to fight, the park’s owner hires a whiz kid game designer, who discovers a workaround computer patch to reprogram the animals to battle one another. The two conflicting programs have unintended consequences as the animals turn violent against humans. The crisis happens right when the owner has invited a team of TV producers to inspect the animals for the reality TV show. The group finds themselves trapped in Zoobotic with all the rebelling animal robots hunting them down.
