In the suburbs, a Mexican drug cartel closes in on a young interracial couple who is looking to escape their ties to organized crime after their final drug deal ends in murder.
Hi Mike, I think you could clarify a few things to really tighten up this logline. You start off that the story takes place in the suburbs, but a high level drug dealer probably wouldn't be visiting the suburbs, and the cartel wouldn't care so much about someone low level. If you set up the story a bit more for the reader of the logline - for instance, saying who gets murdered to show why the cartel seeks vengeance - it will give a better sense of what the film is about. I'd recommend starting it off, "A young couple find themselves being chased by the Mexican cartel after a drug deal gone wrong results in the murder of _______."
