SYNOPSIS:
As many of us are aware, the homeless population is growing. As of January 2012, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) reported that there are over 600,000 people (including children) who are homeless. Within those 600,000 individuals, there is a large percent that are veterans. Veterans who served to fight for our country and now it’s our turn to fight for them. In hopes to decrease those numbers, we are coming together to help rebuild and reintegrate these individuals into society. Helping Hands will provide individuals a chance to reintegrate back into society through varying steps of transformation. The first focus will be in Los Angeles, wherever homelessness prevalent. Our team (therapist, stylist, career/life coaches, etc.) will be helping select individuals who want assistance. They will receive extensive therapy (depending on the individual’s circumstances), a makeover, temporary shelter and job training/career advice in efforts to provide a fresh start. Each homeless person that goes through the transformation will be guided every step of the way.
