GENRE: Drama, Romance
LOGLINE:

When a homeless chef auditions for a cooking show he winds up on court TV instead, and his attorney discovers he was in a love triangle with his ex-fiancee and his client.

SYNOPSIS:

Gifted chef, JEREMY THOMAS, 20, recognizes at an early age that food satisfies people. When he meets HEATHER, 20s, a cool beauty, at Christmastime and she passes him her business card, the first in a series of cards he will receive, he believes his dreams of success and finding love are within reach. Despite her involvement with VIC, 20s, a high powered, self-absorbed attorney, Jeremy pursues Heather. While she’s not interested in him or his culinary ideas for her family’s frozen food empire, Vic takes note of his barbecue sauce.

With Heather often disillusioned with Vic, a mutual attraction grows between her and Jeremy. He uses her positive food memories to offer new ideas while working at a diner and operating a side hustle, delivering his specialties to nursing home residents until the diner owner fires him. He ends up at a homeless shelter where he gets a free designer suit and wears it to a posh engagement party, hoping to meet a famous chef catering it. Instead, the bride's confused grandmother gives him a business card. He slips away before she exposes him but not before Heather, who catered the fruit, sees him and sparks fly.

Jeremy helps an old man in return for room and board and delivers ashes for a pet crematory so he has a vehicle, but spending too much time with a sad, wealthy cat owner costs him his job. He refuses her help but takes her card. After Heather rejects Jeremy's last-ditch pitch, and gets engaged to Vic, Jeremy is chosen as a contestant on a cooking show but can’t participate because he’s in the pet owner’s will and a suspect in her death. Vic defends Jeremy. Heather breaks off the engagement. Eventually cleared of wrongdoing, Jeremy and a single Heather are free to pursue their burgeoning relationship while Vic promotes Jeremy’s talents and sauce.
