SYNOPSIS:

Dr. Kem is Uganda's best trauma surgeon, and the most burned-out — she can’t walk away from broken children who show up at her under-resourced hospital. One day, she shelters an abused girl, but the girl vanishes without a trace. Accused of abduction and with police closing in, Dr Kem races through Kabale’s brutal streets to find the girl. And if she fails? Her career, her freedom — and the girl’s life — will be lost forever.
