An average Joe's life turns upside down when he accidentally runs over one of America's most beloved celebrities causing him to go on the run and hide in the middle of nowhere with other castaways from society, forcing him to examine the choices he's made in his life.

SYNOPSIS:

JOE KAPLAN (40s) leads an average life: he has an average home, an average ex-wife, and an average inferiority complex of a middle management drone. The only thing that keeps him in his steady life is his need to provide for his 12-year-old daughter. When, on his way to her birthday party, Joe strikes down beloved mega-celebrity Morgan Freeman and is accused of vehicular manslaughter, his entire life is thrown on its head. On the run and hunted by soccer moms, hipsters, serial killers, and The-People-of-Walmart alike, Joe must deal with the consequences of becoming the man who killed God.
