Tragedy forces a man to return to his hometown where he rekindles a romance from his past that was cut short. Can you go home again?

SYNOPSIS:

Seventeen-year-old Kevin Halloran strikes up an unlikely friendship with beautiful classmate Julie Peterson, a social outcast due to her pregnancy and subsequent shunning by her popular friends. Julie and Kevin's relationship takes a difficult turn when he insists on forgoing admission to a top university in order to stay in town and assist Julie and her newborn -- and she refuses let him.

Fifteen years later a family tragedy brings Kevin back to his hometown. While trying in a troubled real estate market to sell the house he inherited, he agrees to teach at his old high school. He runs into Julie for the first time in many years. Although Kevin is already involved with a lovely woman named Anna and Julie is married with a teenage daughter (Jennifer), Julie and Kevin are as drawn to each other as they ever were.

Jennifer quickly realizes that her resemblance to her mother gives her a seductive power over Kevin himself... and she has her own agenda.

"Desire never dies, " Kevin tells his high school English students, "it sleeps." That may be true.
