In the late 1990s, two college students become the next hot thing in Hollywood when their web cartoon series takes off in cult popularity, with sudden fame putting their friendship to the test.

SYNOPSIS:

Spring 1999: Larry DuPont gets his best friend Kris Becker out of a jam by helping him produce a short Flash cartoon to complete his digital graphic design class final, based on a character they created together in childhood called Spaceman Steve. Even though the project's dismal reception caused Kris to fail passing the course, he posts it on the Internet during the summer break so other people might see it. When an executive for a struggling dot-com media startup comes across the short on the Web, he sees a hit in the making, and tracks down the kids who created it.

With the new millennium on the horizon and a successful cult webtoon under their belts, Larry and Kris must navigate the trials and tribulations of being Hollywood big-shots while keeping their friendship intact.
