Cynical alcoholic, math-gifted gambler with a bum knee seeking attractive codependent woman is asked to marry two good friends, becomes a $20 online Minister; ordains his indica loving, younger brother as Deacon, stumbles into a spiritual awakening, and now, guiding his tiny new flock, is stuck helping a young lady in possession of information a dangerous sex trafficking kingpin prefer not be floating around.

SYNOPSIS:

Haven't developed a working synopsis for this story yet, just an embellishment of the logline. I'll attempt turning it into something tortuously compelling though; maybe the minister will have to risk the lives of several members of his congregation in order to save one as in Luke 15: 1-7, Parable of the Lost Sheep? Something like that anyway?

Incongruously, a spiritual awakening inadvertently realized via the ridiculous purchase of a $20 online Minister Certification places a new, legally ordained Minister and his pot aficionado Deacon / Younger Brother at odds with organized religiosity and innocently in COMPELLING CONFLICT with merciless sex traffickers forcing difficult moral choices. What choice is worth dying for... or worse, having friends and parishioners die for it?

IMPORTANT SCRIPT NOTE: This script is being spawned into outline stage. It's still a caterpillar so I haven't started wrecking its butterfly life yet -- but soon will. That comes later, when I really, really don't want to outline anymore because writing crap is way easier than thinking...and thinking...and thinking...trying to write something decent via the discipline of showing instead of preaching and telling. When you're as lazy as I am, this struggle is serious. Just sayin'.
