A dreamy headed actor leaves his native Venice for the lights of Hollywood only to find that he is unprepared to handle all that fame and fortune presents when he becomes a breakout success.

SYNOPSIS:

Matteo has always wanted to leave his job as a waiter on the Grand Canal and pursue acting full-time. But when his local theatre in Venice closes for a lack of funding, his dreams are dashed. The surprise inheritance of a large sum of money from his grandfather and a chance encounter with a beautiful young American actress, Eva, make it possibile for him to move to Los Angeles and land a job on an important television series. Just as he is on his way to stardom, a shady manager appears and proposes to take him to the next level. Matteo accepts and his own pride and ambition take a costly toll, in his relationship with Eva and with all those he holds dear.
