BURYING THE LITTLEMANS
By R.B. Ripley

GENRE: Art House, Comedy
LOGLINE:

When a risk-averse corporate drone blundering through a mid-life crisis returns to his small, Midwest hometown for his mother's funeral, he learns his estranged family is mortified that she died wearing a red leather dominatrix outfit. But they all discover that celebrating who she really was just might be the key to finally rebuilding their fractured relationships.

SYNOPSIS:

BURYING THE LITTLMANS is the story of Don Littleman, a man who's spent his entire adult life playing it safe—hovering around the edges of his job, his relationship, and his family—until his mother's shocking death forces him to return home and confront the messy, complicated truth of who she really was.

What begins as their usual family dysfunction quickly spirals into chaos and humiliating revelations that becomes an unexpected journey toward empathy and authenticity, as Don discovers that his mother's secret life wasn't a scandal to be buried, but a lesson in the courage to live honestly.

Set against the backdrop of small-town versus big-city, this story uses humor, quirky characters and universal themes to show that we can truly connect with the people we love when we stop performing the versions of ourselves we think they want to see.
