SYNOPSIS

On the eave of her wedding, Southern Belle Sandy dreams of her children chasing their own dreams… but Reverend Robaire’s ingrained wedding service injects brides with the Cult’s pure seed to be developed as obedient Flockers.

Sandy and her family are Peachland… a painted picture Georgia college town that hasn’t

changed in lifetimes. She met her husband-to-be, Kevin, when he moved into the nearby college dorm from the city. Like many students, Kevin got thirsty… so he broke the Cult’s dictate and opened a booze can in the dorm.

Dressing for her day, Sandy adjusts her dress to match her grandmother’s long ago photo. She tries different looks until she’s satisfied with the result. For the service, Robaire uses a well-worn Bible to orchestrate a service that includes three keys:

• Kevin’s organ donation papers in the event of his early death;

• Sandy being collared with an interactive necklace (a Cultlace) that monitors and

controls her life; and,

• The Reverend consummating Sandy’s wedding by injecting her with the Cult’s pure seed… a seed she must carry for 13 celibate days until she’s instructed to return to have the nurtured seed sucked out of her body and placed in a mason jar to be brought to term in the Cult’s Bottle Baby lab.

Throughout the summer, brides become widows, while refrigerated SUVs leave the back of the church loaded with organ donation bags. Eventually it’s Sandy’s turn to donate… Kevin’s organs. Rushing to be on time for appointment with the Reverend, Sandy trips, badly gashing her hand. Kevin improvises first aid with gauze soaked in booze to keep it clean… while using her Cultlace to elevate her hand to stem the surging blood flow. Weakened by the booze, her Cultlace crashes to the floor in the Baby lab… right beside the glass container with her name, date, and wedding photo on it.

When he realizes he’s lost control of his next victim, Robaire summons all his Flockers to ‘find and kill the vermin in their midst’. One group finds Sandy’s fallen Cultlace in the lab, just as a second bunch finds them. Obeying instructions, the two groups attack each other mercilessly… death and destruction run through the Bottle Baby lab.

Bodies, body parts, and squashed babies-to-be… the Cult’s future, cover the

floor. The Flockers’ fury also shatters the shield over the big Cult Emblem monitoring the Bottle

Baby lab… revealing the Virgin Queen Jacquelline… the real power in the Cult dynasty.

Next morning, as the sun reaches over the eastern mountains, Sandy and Kevin stroll Peachland’s beach with their dreams rekindled… and Sandy’s beginning baby bump.

All’s well in Peachland and Sandy’s world, until a few undead Bottle Babies stir in the bushes

and begin to regain strength… to start next year’s Cult crop.
