SYNOPSIS:

Oscar, in his early twenties with James Dean good looks, gets run off the road by a reckless hoon. Surviving unscathed but stuck on a desolate highway, he eventually comes across a caravan park run by Janeane, a strange and flirtatious older woman. Here, he meets Rose, Janeane’s beautiful daughter. They fall in love and decide to run off together. Young lovers on the run, Rose and Oscar have the Police and Rose’s psychotic brothers on their tail. They encounter a community of metal head Aboriginals and a plethora of wierdo’s on the way to meet Oscar’s father, a rockstar he’s never met. Is love enough… A Kind of Love is a cross between Wild at Heart and True Romance with a dash of Cinderella. A road movie that explores family, obsession, and the intensity of young love against the backdrop of a surreal Australian landscape.
