When her eternal life is threatened, a self-centered guardian angel learns the true meaning of unconditional love from the seven-year-old daughter she never wanted.

SYNOPSIS:

Present Day. Celeste Harper is a small-time club singer who has had to fight and claw for everything all her life. Her mother died when she was two and her father abandoned her a year later. The only two people Celeste could ever count on were her Aunt Wendy and her boyfriend, Rick Reed. A devout believer in angels, Wendy tried to raise Celeste with a love for God in her heart, but all Celeste ever wanted was to be a rich and famous country singer.

Saturday night. Celeste and Rick are playing at their favorite club, The Fallen Angel Cafe, when a high powered music producer offers Celeste a recording contract. When the producer sees that Celeste is six-months pregnant she takes the offer back and tells Celeste to call her when your kid is toilet trained. Devastated and desperate, Celeste races after the music producer on a twisting, rain-swept country road. Fearing for her life and the life of their baby, Rick follows, but is too late, Celeste crashes her car. With the help of his guardian angel, Vito, Rick rescues Celeste from the burning wreckage. She dies later in the hospital but not before giving birth to Angelica.

While Rick and Wendy are distraught over Celeste's death, they thank God for the tiny addition to their family. Before deciding on Celeste's eternal fate, God gives her one last opportunity to make amends for the self-centered life she had lived: become Angelica's guardian angel. Rather than face the horrific fate her own guardian angel received after her death Celeste reluctantly accepts.

Seven years later. It is only through the efforts of Rick, Wendy, Vito and Kristen (Wendy's guardian angel) Angelica has reached the second grade. While most girls her age are excited about the new school year, Angelica is terrified. Her worse nightmare is Tyrone Davis, the school bully. Like Angelica, Tyrone has only one parent; his mother, Davina. His father, Horace, a policeman, drowned while trying to save a mother and her young baby when Tyrone was only a few weeks old. Never knowing his father, Tyrone is jealous of the love Rick gives Angelica.

Seeing how her actions are causing Angelica to go down the same path she had taken, Celeste pledges to become a better guardian angel. But this pledge is not enough when the situation between Angelica and Tyrone worsens. In one final, desperate act to be with his father, Tyrone inadvertently puts Angelica in the hospital with both her life, and Celeste's eternal life, clinging by the barest of celestial threads.
