SYNOPSIS:

In a Midwestern town, two men form an unlikely friendship. Both have been on the planet for 87 years: crippled, octogenarian WWII veteran Abe, and Kane, a vampire who looks 17. Kane is weary, jumbled, unable to connect, fighting down his inner predator – tired of ‘life’. Abe is a vivacious charmer, loved by all and king of his little bump-in-the-interstate town, yet fears his impending death. When Abe learns Kane’s nature he sees a means to cheat the reaper, but Kane refuses. Their friendship unravels and Abe’s desperation reveals his mean streak as he turns on his friend, assisted by two hunters hot on Kane’s trail. No one’s getting out of this clean. Do Not Go Gentle is about how we face up to death – on our feet, or on our knees.
