SYNOPSIS:

TITUS SABINUS is dying. No matter how much his trusted servant/physician LUKE tries, they both know it’s in vain. But Titus has a secret. One of his servants tells of a religion that heals the sick and raises the dead. A religion hated by the Empire. Titus offers Luke his freedom if he will go and confirm these stories. Luke knows the perils of that place and declines. He may be a slave, but he lives comfortably with the love of his life, PRIMILLA. One day, while Titus and Luke are away, the future Emperor NERO comes calling. He is rounding up Rome’s most beautiful servants and shipping them to Jerusalem as a gift to his new friend the Jewish King Herod. Titus’ wife ARRECINA protests vehemently, but to no avail. Primilla is whisked away. Luke decides he must save her and takes Titus up on his offer to go to Jerusalem to investigate these people, though it be half-heartedly. Once there he searches desperately for his lost love and slowly learns the truth about a disturbing and shocking new religious movement.
