THE GARDEN - A GATE (PILOT)
By David W. Keffer

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Science Fiction
LOGLINE:

World-class scientists are manipulated into an excavation in Antarctica to document a series of impossible man-made ruins, where they race to uncover our collective past before climate change, greedy entrepreneurs, and monstrous creatures decimate the ruins, and thereby doom all of humanity.

SYNOPSIS:

After a large ice-sheet cleaves from northwest Antarctica, a glacial tube begins spewing large amounts of methane into the atmosphere. Playboy billionaire Alus Thackery, who's company specializes in green technology and carbon capture, aggressively recruits the top scientists in various specialties to join him once ruins are discovered deep inside the glacier. While the scientists, including Anthropologist Jana Kursk and Paleo-biologist Maxwell van Meter begin their investigation into the mysterious walled ruin, strange events occur - shadow figures, impossible screams, mysteriously tripped alarms, and looming figures - begin to convince the team that they are not alone. What's even more concerning, it seems that Thackery and some of the geology experts are planning something nefarious, and even using hidden cameras to spy on the rest of the crew. Once the archeology team reaches the edge of the wall, they realize it supports a gate - which would be the oldest man-made structure ever discovered - and that on the other side there is a garden. As they fight to uncover the truth of the site, and the true motive of their investor, deadly secrets come to life and they must fight to stay sane, and to stay alive against a host of unsettling creatures - as if the Garden is fighting back to keep its secrets. What's more, some of the findings spawn questions on disease, irreversible climate change, and even possibly the decimation of mankind!
