But when civilians across London begin committing sudden acts of manipulated violence, the pair uncover a terrifying connection: every incident traces back to Aucta Re — the augmented reality glasses developed by tech giant Red Bird Technologies.

Hidden inside the system is Mind’s Eye, a covert behavioural-manipulation program capable of influencing emotion, aggression, and perception in real time. While Red Bird dismisses the incidents as mass hysteria, MI5 liaison Arthur Jones works to bury the investigation, steering a fractured nation toward fear, outrage, and escalating unrest. As riots spread and reality itself becomes unreliable, Malone and Sol realise the violence is not random — Britain is being deliberately conditioned into paranoia, division, and collapse.
