GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Crime
LOGLINE:

Rick Stone, a reclusive ex-soldier turned comic book store owner, is forced back into the shadows when his long-dead brother—an infamous underworld enforcer—sends a cryptic message from beyond the grave. As ruthless assassins, corrupt officials, and a secret global organization close in, Rick must uncover the truth before he becomes the next casualty of a war he never knew existed.

SYNOPSIS:

In a city on the brink of chaos, a massacre at an underground crime syndicate meeting leaves three powerful figures dead, sending shockwaves through law enforcement and the criminal elite. Detective Mann investigates, quickly realizing this isn’t just another turf war—it’s a message.

Meanwhile, Rick Stone, a seemingly washed-up comic book store owner with a past in the military, gets an unexpected visit from his estranged uncle, Travis, who delivers a chilling message: Ben Stone—Rick’s long-dead brother—has reached out. Before Rick can make sense of it, a hitman silences Travis, dragging Rick into a brutal street brawl and high-stakes rooftop chase that ends in bloodshed.

As Rick is taken into police custody, Mann—who secretly works for the very network controlling the city—warns him to run. But before he can make a move, Annie, a mysterious woman with her own agenda, abducts him at gunpoint. She claims to know the truth about Ben and the power struggle tearing the city apart. Meanwhile, in the shadows, the enigmatic Miss Edison and her superior, Mr. Enigma, manipulate events, orchestrating a game far bigger than Rick could ever imagine.

By episode’s end, Rick realizes he’s not just running from his past—he’s being dragged into a war where his brother’s name still holds power. And if Ben is really dead… why does everyone act like he’s still pulling the strings?

This sounds exciting, Ritchie Johnston! And I can see it being a franchise.

The logline is really long (62 words). Here’s a logline suggestion (49 words): After receiving a cryptic message from his long-dead brother, a reclusive ex-soldier is forced back into the shadows. As ruthless assassins, corrupt officials, and a secret global organization close in, he scrambles to uncover the truth before he becomes the next casualty of a war he never knew existed.
