PSYCHO BITCHES

PSYCHO BITCHES
By Daniel Duane

GENRE: Horror, Comedy
LOGLINE:

After witnessing a brutal murder as a child, the daughter of a slain mother-father serial killer team returns to the scene of the crime more than a decade later to bury the past and start over, however, the trauma she endured years ago only proves to be dormant and not a one-time episode.

SYNOPSIS:

Brooke Collins was eight years old when she witnessed the death of a young woman at the hands of her parents. That same night, when she went to bed, something happened. Something took over within her. Some people say she was sleep walking when it happened.

Others, including the state, believe what she saw her parents do caused a psychological rift so traumatic, it changed her life forever. Whatever the case may be, she somehow managed to ensure that night would be the last night her parents would spend on earth.

Fourteen years later, the state decided to giver her a second chance. When Brooke is released from rehab and returns home, her childhood best friend, April Turner, moves in to keep her company and help her get back on her feet.

April tries to make her feel welcome and, if possible, normal again, so the two start dating guys. However, we learn quickly that Brooke is far from normal and the state released her prematurely.

When a guy makes a move on April, something emerges from within Brooke that causes her to transform in personality. It’s the same transformation that emerged the night Brooke’s parents met their fate.

Call it an alternate personality or ego, whatever it is, saves April’s life and makes her date pay with his. This alternate personality calls herself Hayden. Once April’s date is silenced, April and Hayden scramble to hide the body.

Then a detective enters the fray and pays them a visit, Detective Jared Reynolds. Brooke, although much more timid then Hayden, becomes infatuated with him and they start dating.

April, stunned and shocked at her date’s death, insists they turn themselves in. Hayden then manipulates her into believing they can bring in much needed revenue by luring in more dates with their charms.

Brooke nearly drives April to the brink when she can’t remember any of her actions as Hayden, and the more men they are forced to dispose of, the deeper and more desperate they get. By the time Detective Reynolds catches on and Brooke gathers enough courage to face Hayden, it’s too late.
