SYNOPSIS:

This screenplay chronicles the impossible, unapproachable 56-game hitting streak that Joe DiMaggio put together as a nation braced for the most violent war in world history. With their fathers training for combat, five Bronx scrappers: Ant, Pinkie, Stevie, Cap and Gibby follow each seeing eye single, each home run and the inevitable final out on game 57, while adjusting to their new world.
