SYNOPSIS:
Set in the Little Five Points area of Atlanta FKR, or Fat Kid Revolution, is a comedy with an abundance of heart and Rockabilly. Vincent Knoxville, better known as Junior, is no average man. Above average in size and attitude, he has come to the conclusion that there are more of us then there are of them. Meaning, more XL’S than extra smalls. Tired of living in a world where the emaciated are treated like royalty, an idea takes root inside him. He’s got a lot to prove to himself, his sidekick Pearl (a plus sized beauty), his best friend Gene (Pearl’s brother), and his high and mighty family. Even though he has several part time jobs, one at the copy store, another as a trivia DJ, band manager, and a small concert promoter, he has never been more than a loafing mess to his inner circle. Or so he thinks. It’s time for a revolution, a Fat Kid Revolution. Using his inner circle of friends and his jobs to spread the word, he unleashes a new way of living for all the plus sized people he knows. He and Pearl concoct all sorts of pranks and events, to bring the “BB” (Big and Beautiful) community together for debauchery and support. Backed with a newly found confidence, an army is born. The movement catches like wildfire and before you know it, Junior is a celebrity. Junior can’t get enough of the attention or the ladies, and not the lady he intended to impress in the first place. Pearl can’t even get near him; she has become his errand girl. But, there are others interested in Pearl’s awesomeness. Too bad, it’s a skinny greaser dude. Junior just won’t stand for that, with his us against them mind set. While Pearl’s focus for the group splits off into a different direction, Junior’s radar is on partying. landing him in hot water in every area of his life. Most are praising Pearl for the changes and things she is accomplishing, but you know who lets his ego get the best of him. After landing in jail, Junior is forced to face his shortcomings and drop the suit of armor he’s worn his whole life. His family demands he stand up and face the music. Will he realize he was worth something all along, or will he take down his whole movement and lose Pearl at the same time?
