Taking place entirely within the confines of a getaway vehicle, an out-of-work stunt driver and his estranged ex-con son unwittingly steal an LAPD bait car to carry out a heist meant to pay off the parole's former cellmate who has taken one of their loved ones as collateral.

SYNOPSIS:

Taking place entirely within the confines of a bait car in real time, THREE-TON COFFIN follows an ex-con desperate to repay the debt owed to his former cellmate after his young son is taken hostage as collateral.

Kareem, the ex-con, and his estranged father turned retired stuntman, Elgin, steal a car from a quiet neighborhood on the west side of Los Angeles to commit a robbery meant to satisfy the debt. Both men are oblivious to the fact that their new getaway car is also a bait vehicle tracked by the LAPD.

After reaching the intended target - a marijuana dispensary transporting their profits to a nearby bank - the thieves otherwise perfect plan gets an unexpected hitch when police descend upon the location.

In the ensuing bloody shootout, the men make out with the cash in the increasingly bullet-ridden bait car. A mad dash down the freeway follows with LAPD and the mysterious gangbangers behind the dispensary in hot pursuit.
