A family of Old World ghouls take refuge in a small New England town where they discover they are living next door to their mortal enemy. 

SYNOPSIS:

When Storm trooping Nazis invade their native homeland in the Carpathian mountains, an old world family of aristocratic ghouls move to America. In the town of New Siegfried, Connecticut, they settle down and raise their modern day and very spoiled granddaughter Grace as a normal teenager. One night after a disastrous date with dim-witted and tow-headed Todd Hockler, Grace believes he's two-timing her and sets out to find out with whom. She stumbles upon a community center of elderly ghouls from the old country who lionize her recently deceased father and remind her they are living next next door to their mortal enemy, the Evil Spawn. But Grace is more upset by the voice of her errant boyfriend whom she hears talking with Sally Schlitzhammer in a church pew below. Infuriated, she attacks Todd in her ghoul form and accidentally beheads him with her swift powerful talons. Later at home, Grandmother Mueller (Née Ghoulstein) comforts Grace after her first kill, telling her it was bound to happen sooner or later. It's in her genes. Besides, she explains to Grace, what we know about Todd bringing him back to life won't really be a problem. The next school day Grace goes to school and learns that Todd is one of the Evil Spawn, as are most of the other denizens of New Siegfried. When Todd and Sally report what happened to the school principal it is easily determined that Grace is a "Demon Seed", the sworn enemy of The Evil Spawn. After a grueling chase by the Spawn's own extermination unit, known as The Men in White, Grace arrives home to find all her belongings on the front yard and the locks changed to her home. Hysterical, Grace flies to the ghoul community center and similarly finds herself shunned by the community, and banished. Upset and alone Grace flies to New Haven where is forced to beg for a living. After being thrown out of a local blood bank for attempting to make a withdrawal, Grace holes up in Hotel Astor and Resort, a run down dive where she is compromised by a sleazy John who believes she is a prostitute. After repelling his advances, Grace finds the courage in herself and comes to terms with who she is and where she comes from. She flies to a place where she can experience the past, present and future in one sitting and listen to the call of destiny. Her deceased father, Wolf, appears to her and warns her of what is to come and what she must do to save her people from extinction. Grace flies back to New Siegfried and discovers her family home has been burnt down, but when she goes to report it she is is kidnapped by the elder ghouls who explain her banishment was an old ghoul tradition and that she is now ready for initiation into the ghoul clan. After intense training and naming Grace is accepted into the ghoul community as their chosen defender. When the ceremonial center is raided by the Men in White and her grandfather is captured by the Spawn, Grace finds her way to the New Bavarian Mega Church where she confronts the evil leader of the Spawn, Mordecai, and fights him tooth and nail for the Spawn's destruction, and the salvation of her family and community, who she has come to accept and love.
