Set against the vibrant streets of Mumbai, "In Pursuit of Love" follows Haroon Malhotra, an Indo-Afghan who escapes the clutches of the Taliban to pursue his passion for English literature and music in Canada, defying his father's business-driven expectations.

During his Ph.D. studies in Toronto, Haroon befriends Sooraj, an Indian law student, setting the stage for a profound connection. Haroon’s journey takes an unexpected turn when he attends Sooraj's Mumbai wedding, hoping to find both love and his dream girl.

Enter Nazaneen, a medical graduate in her last month of residency to become an MD, who is struggling to pay for her ailing mother’s treatment. Forced by financial constraints, she takes on a part-time job as a Farsi-English interpreter. Haroon, in disguise as an illiterate son of a wealthy Afghan landlord seeking medical treatment, hires Nazaneen. Haroon’s disguise is intended to keep his true identity concealed while he searches for love and his dream girl.

As Haroon's true identity is revealed through a captivating musical performance at Sooraj's wedding, he proposes marriage to Nazaneen. However, she refuses due to societal differences. Determined to bridge the gap, Haroon rents an apartment near Nazaneen's residence and establishes English and computer courses to uplift the community and gain acceptance in the neighborhood.
