An innocuous family errand sends Trent Cole, a damaged ex-cop, into an underground storage unit, only to find that a band of criminals have descended there with a malicious agenda that might be a link to an unsolved case that ruined his career.

Unloaded is the story of Trent Cole, a decorated ex police officer who has been coping with both mental and physical ailments in relation to one of his unsolved cases.He has been suffering silently with an unfounded trepidation that no amount of psychoanalysis or medication can aid.He has barely left the safety of his home due to repressed memories and debilitating fears, which led to his unceremonious dismissal from the force.

On a winter morning, he braves the harsh cold and accompanies his old partner on a lead that just might crack his unsolved case and lead to closure. After a brief run in with some masked criminals, Trent is dismayed to find that the lead was a dead end. He heads home to find his wife has tasked him to finish cleaning up decorations from Christmas and return them to the Storage Unit. A simple enough request, but something about the Storage Unit, instantly causes anxiety and flashbacks to his case. Trent has kept these hallucinations a secret, so when he is urged to make the trip to the unit, he grudgingly accepts the errand in stride.
