DEAR BUTTERFLY
By Anthony Moore

GENRE: Romance, Drama
LOGLINE:

After the violent loss of her boyfriend and the abduction of their newborn, a heartbroken woman gets a second chance at love, only to have her life unravel and trust broken by an unexpected truth coming to light.

SYNOPSIS:

Mya Stevenson, the daughter of a wealthy businessman, has her life torn asunder when her boyfriend is murdered during a carjacking. After giving birth to a daughter, the child is abducted from the hospital. The police are unable to find the missing baby and Mya is devastated. This is the recurring nightmare that haunts her sleep.

Reese Stallworth is a widower and owns two Barber shops. He changes Mya’s tire and her life. He is able

to crack through the walls around her heart to open her up to love again. She meets his two daughters and

niece. Bonds soon form and one of Reese’s daughters accidentally calls Mya “momma”, which sets off a

chain of events that turn her world upside down.

Conflict ensues when it is discovered that Mya’s stolen daughter was put up for adoption on the black

market by Mya’s own stepmother, who also hired the carjackers and planned on killing the whole family

for the inheritance. In an unfortunate turn of events, Reese is the one who adopted the child. One arrest

and one restraining order later, Mya’s and Reese are pitted against one another. Mya is devastated at the

loss of her daughter all over again.

It takes the bonds of friendship, the greater minds of both families, and the strength of love to finally

resolve the issue.

Based on the book “Dear Butterfly: Wishes from the Heart” by Natalie R. Murphy.
