ANACONDA (1999) meets BIRD BOX
SYNOPSIS:
When a car accident caused by her degenerative eye disease leaves teenage niece Zoe in a coma, guilt-ridden wildlife photographer Jessica Mendez faces devastating news: she will be completely blind within months. Against medical advice, Jessica embarks on one final expedition to document endangered Indochinese tigers in Thailand - Zoe's favorite animal - joined by friends Bobby and Sarah, plus veteran guide Peter.
Deep in the Thai jungle, Jessica struggles to hide her deteriorating vision as the group tracks their elusive quarry. When they finally locate a magnificent tiger at a secluded watering hole, they discover they're not alone. A crew of wealthy trophy hunters led by the calculating George has also been tracking the same animal.
A violent confrontation between the two groups leaves Jessica's team stranded in hostile territory without supplies or a way home. As her eyesight rapidly fails, Jessica must survive against mounting threats: the territorial tiger now stalking them, the ruthless hunters who view her group as expendable, and the unforgiving jungle itself.
Racing against her descending blindness, Jessica discovers that in the wild, the line between predator and prey can shift in an instant. To protect what matters most, she must tap into a primal strength she never knew existed - even if it means becoming the very thing she fears.
