100 years after a legendary train disaster in Richmond, Virginia, events conspire to bring the vampire Otherworld and the human real world into conflict, and only the actions of a noble few can prevent a desolation which could destroy both.
SYNOPSIS:
August 2025, Richmond, Virginia. An occult tour group visits the haunted grave of William Wortham Pool, the legendary Richmond Vampire, who was destroyed almost 100 years earlier right after the infamous Church Hill Train Tunnel disaster of 1925. LUNIA, a dowsing medium, calls forth Pool's spirit, but she and the others get more than they bargained for when Pool takes over Lunia's body and issues a warning and a vision to them of a coming disaster, as well as connecting train worker BENJAMIN MOSBY, who died in the tunnel tragedy.
Two nights later, Pool's former lover, the vampire Archon RUXANDRA CEL RAU, granddaughter of Dracula himself, visits her half-vampire niece COLLETTE in Richmond to commemorate the coming anniversary of Pool's death. She has a disturbing dream in which William urges her to avenge his demise and restore the balance between our world and the Otherworld. With help from Collette, Ruxandra learns that Pool transferred his powerful blood to Mosby at the time of the train disaster. Ben has been lying in stasis in his grave ever since, his spirit wandering aimlessly around the city. Meanwhile, Ruxandra is experiencing problems with her game-changing product iBlood. She sees in Ben an opportunity to both help her company, Sange Nou, and potentially overthrow EDANA, Archon Principal of the Dragonists, whose recklessness has become a major issue for them.
However Ruxandra is unaware that Collette has reconnected with her old boyfriend BRANNBJØRN, a Fomorian, an ancient enemy of the Dragonists. After Ruxandra leaves Richmond, Collette hooks up with Brannbjørn, who’s secretly using her to learn the location of the Dragonists’ stronghold in order to breach its defenses. Collette takes him to a local pagan festival, where they encounter her recent lover, STEVE BILSHARN, a blood dealer and dabbler in the mystical arts. Steve goads Brannbjørn into a fight, causing him to shapeshift into his monstrous form and touch off a fiery melee, setting the stage for events that will begin to make Pool's prophecy come true.
