SYNOPSIS:
When hardened Prague survivalist Eva Ríhová steals an ancient ledger from a forbidden site, she believes she’s holding a rare artifact. Instead, she’s carrying a doorway—one that awakens inhuman cult hunters who move like shadows wearing stolen skin. Forced on the run through abandoned flats, underground tunnels, and derelict ships, Eva joins with Ethan Rourke, a haunted ex-operative, and a captive whose true name is too dangerous to speak. As the ledger responds to Eva’s presence, she uncovers a terrifying truth: her father didn’t vanish—he opened the first door, and she is destined to become the second. When the entity behind the ledger manifests, wearing corpses like clothes and whispering with her family’s stolen voices, Eva must decide whether to embrace the darkness in her blood or destroy it before a legion of shadow-born creatures enters the world. THE LEDGER OF THE DEAD is a relentless supernatural thriller where identity becomes a battleground, and the scariest monster in the dark may be the one waking inside you.

Charmane Wedderburn Charmane, this is a highly compelling and cinematic concept with strong international and genre appeal. The blend of supernatural horror, family legacy, and relentless pursuit creates immediate tension, and the idea of a “living ledger” tied to bloodline destiny is especially striking and memorable.
The logline is powerful and evocative, though slightly dense refining a few elements for clarity could make the hook land even harder. That said, the imagery and stakes are very effective.
The synopsis is vivid and atmospheric, with a clear sense of momentum and escalating danger. The world feels rich and immersive, and the central mystery around Eva’s father adds strong narrative drive. At times, the language leans heavily into description, so grounding a few moments with clearer plot progression could enhance readability.
Overall, a standout high-concept thriller with strong visual storytelling and franchise potential, elevated by its unique mythology and emotional core.
