MAKE ME SMILE is a period biopic about the extraordinary and tragic life of legendary guitarist Terry Kath.

SYNOPSIS:

At the height of the1960’s student protests, a struggling working class musician, Terry Kath, unable to read music, reinvents rock and roll when he and his best friend start a new band fusing hard rock, R&B and jazz. They add a horn section to the band, equal to the lead guitar and electric bass. The band is discovered by Jimi Hendrix and explodes onto the music scene, quickly becoming the biggest selling band on the CBS record label and the iconic sound of 1970s rock music before Terry’s shocking and untimely death.

MAKE ME SMILE celebrates the music that became the soundtrack of a generation while exploring the creative process and the sacrifice of being a groundbreaking artist.
