An alcoholic has-been heavy metal rocker hiding from his past must mentor his stubborn but immensely talented daughter from making the same mistakes that ruined him.

SYNOPSIS:

Jack Shelby, leader of the heavy metal band Wahrdawg was on top of his game in the 80's but tanked in the 90's. Broke and disgusted with the life of a rocker, he leaves show-biz, and resumes life as Sal Giacalone, his real name. He marries Nina, a telenovela actress from Colombia who doesn't know he was a rock star. After thirty years of boredom and a midlife crisis, life goes off the hook when their musically talented daughter Rosie discovers his past as a rocker and wants to follow in his footsteps.

Thrash is a character driven drama in the tradition of Orange Is The New Black, Shameless and Lost. All the characters are complex, have extensive back stories and arcs. Thrash mash's up Almost Famous, American Beauty and Mad Men.
