After a brain transplant saves her life, a woman begins losing control
of her own actions as the donor's memories and will emerge, revealing
the original consciousness is still alive inside her body and fighting
to take back control.

SYNOPSIS:

After a severe accident, Meta survives through a transplant into Wencke’s body, a woman declared brain-dead. As Meta struggles to rebuild her life, she begins experiencing intrusions: fleeting memories, impulses, and emotions that are not her own. Doctors insist everything is normal, but the episodes intensify.

Meta tries to maintain her relationships, especially with her sister Hitho and her friend circle. Samson enters her life when he mistakes her for Wencke, unaware of the transplant. He approaches her openly, and Meta responds despite knowing the truth. She doesn’t correct him because their encounter is sudden and overwhelming, and when they meet again, the moment to explain has already slipped away and the truth feels impossible to admit.

Samson seems to trigger a major downward spiral. Wencke’s presence becomes violent, surfacing through dreams, loss of bodily control, and sudden emotional outbursts.

When Wencke fully begins to take over Meta’s body, attacking people around her, Elmina drags Meta back to the hospital, demanding better answers. A young doctor finally discovers what was missed: Wencke was never truly brain-dead, and both consciousnesses now occupy the same body. Meta is placed at the top of the list for a new transplant, but Wencke grows stronger and more desperate.

When Wencke takes control again and attacks Hitho, Meta fights her from within. To stop Wencke from using the shared body to harm anyone, Meta turns the attack on herself. Samson and Hitho rush to her, holding her as she slips away. With Meta’s death, Wencke’s presence is extinguished as well.

The story ends as Meta surrenders to the darkness.
