A creative woman becomes involved in a relationship marked by mutual
attraction and misread signals, where fragile boundaries weaken trust
and lead to conflict that forces each person to face the consequences of
their choices and misunderstandings.

SYNOPSIS:

Alana is the writer of a film production, working closely with the cast

through constant rewrites, rehearsals, and long days on set. Connor, one

of the actors, is withdrawn and struggling, while Noah, another actor

and Connor’s closest friend, deals with recurring panic attacks. The

three share professional spaces, living arrangements, and something that

begins to resemble friendship.

While working privately, a moment of mutual softness between Connor and

Alana leads to a first boundary crossing when he kisses her. Alana

allows it briefly, then pulls back; Connor misreads the moment as a

pause rather than a stop. Nothing violent happens, but it destabilizes

their dynamic. Alana remains professional on set and withdraws

privately.

When Noah notices Alana tensing around Connor, he confronts her about

what happened. She confirms they kissed, that she wanted to stop, and

that Connor did not stop as quickly as she wanted. The conversation

leads her to decide she does not want to hold a grudge over what she

experienced as a mistake.

The group grows closer again, though the atmosphere remains slightly

awkward. Noah becomes more attached to Alana, openly enough for Connor

to notice, though Alana does not.

At a party, a poorly worded joke triggers Connor, reminding him of the

recent death of his sister. He drinks and leaves early. Alana checks on

him, present at a friend with a light softness that leads to a brief,

mutual kiss. Grief, alcohol, entitlement, and accumulated

misinterpretation collide. Connor escalates, fails to understand her

refusal, and forces physical contact briefly. When he realizes what he

has done, he is crushed and apologizes instantly.

Alana leaves shaken and withdrawn, choosing silence over confrontation.

Later, Noah notices her emotional absence and pushes her to talk. Unable

to regulate his reaction, he confronts Connor the following night. The

confrontation turns physical, escalating to the point where Noah loses

control and blacks out. In his panic he cannot fully reconstruct what

happened and fears he went too far.

Alana intervenes, finds Connor alive, and helps him back to his room

without involving authorities. All three agree to keep what happened

under the radar.

Though the next morning, Connor silently steps back from the project.

Alana is left handling emergency rewrites, while Noah has to manage his

panic on his own.

When the film warps, the violence has ended, but nothing is resolved.

What remains is the cost of blurred boundaries, misread permission, and

the expectation that women who are always there will continue to be,

even after trust is shattered.
