SYNOPSIS:

Seventeen-year-old Jayson never planned on becoming a drug dealer. Neither did his best friend, Manny. Growing up in a Southern city, they’re two teenagers trying to navigate school, family, money problems, and a future that already feels like it’s closing in around them. When financial pressure at home becomes impossible to ignore, Jayson and Manny make what seems like a temporary decision: step into the streets, make enough money to survive, and get out before the life becomes theirs. Under the guidance of Manny’s uncle Dre, they begin learning a world built on money, loyalty, reputation, and consequences. But survival turns into ambition. Years later, Jayson and Manny have become major players in the city’s criminal underworld, operating beneath powerful supplier El Paca while building an organization of their own. The money that once represented freedom now comes with enemies, police surveillance, fractured relationships, and increasingly dangerous responsibilities. Jayson’s greatest concern remains his younger brother Donnie, whom he has spent years trying to keep away from the life that consumed him. As tensions rise with a volatile rival known as Black, personal grudges become street warfare, Major Crimes closes in, and the people surrounding Jayson are forced to decide what loyalty actually means when survival is on the line. At the center of it all is a friendship that began long before the money. WE DICE LIVING follows Jayson and Manny across years as two young men who enter the streets believing money will give them choices, only to discover that every step deeper into the life takes another choice away.
