Set against the streets of contemporary San Salvador, JALÓN follows a hardworking taxi driver determined to provide for her family in a city where opportunity is scarce and survival often depends on difficult choices. Each passenger who enters her cab offers a glimpse into a different corner of Salvadoran society, revealing a country shaped by economic uncertainty, violence, and enduring hope.

As she struggles to balance the demands of work, motherhood, and an uncertain future, everyday moments gradually reveal the quiet strength required to keep moving forward. Through intimate encounters and the rhythms of daily life, she discovers that resilience is not found in extraordinary acts, but in the determination to face another day.

JALÓN is an intimate, humanistic portrait of contemporary El Salvador that explores family, dignity, and perseverance through the eyes of one woman navigating a rapidly changing world.
