During what should be an ordinary tutoring session, a lonely young tutor and the ten-year-old boy she's preparing for an elite school entrance exam begin asking each other questions that quietly change the course of both their lives.
SYNOPSIS:
Rachel, a young tutor struggling to move on from a painful breakup, arrives at an affluent Brooklyn home to prepare ten-year-old Anthony for a competitive school entrance exam. But Anthony is far more interested in questioning the world around him than memorizing textbook answers.
As their afternoon unfolds, simple lessons about economics, technology, and free will gradually become conversations about friendship, ambition, family, and what truly gives life meaning. While Anthony begins to question the expectations placed upon him, Rachel is forced to confront the choices she has been avoiding in her own life.
Set almost entirely over the course of a single tutoring session, Boy & Tutor is an intimate short drama about childhood, mentorship, and the quiet conversations that can change the direction of a life.
