Bad Pawns is a 30 minute sitcom that follows Principal Jay Butler, who, in a last ditch effort to save his job, attempts to turn his school’s worst delinquents into a champion chess team. Meanwhile, the team itself, led by Butler’s future stepson Nate McCarthy, find themselves having to bond with people they don’t like over a game they don’t know how to play. The Queen’s Gambit meets The Breakfast Club.
