THROUGH THE DOOR

THROUGH THE DOOR
By Iliyas Sibgatulin

GENRE: Science Fiction, Family
LOGLINE:

Ordinary schoolchildren — a brother and a sister — set off on an exciting journey through fantastic worlds and historical eras вместе with their family. They explore the universe, help its inhabitants, and learn to apply knowledge in real life.

SYNOPSIS:

After an unusual meteor shower, a family (mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, a boy and a girl) discovers that their home — a private house on the outskirts of Almaty—has become magical. The front door turns into a portal to different worlds, historical periods of Earth, and even the future.

Over 10 episodes, the heroes (mostly the children, accompanied by one family member at a time) will travel to the past, the future, and various fantasy and imaginary worlds, where local inhabitants help guide them in their upbringing—shaping their moral values and life principles.

At the beginning of each episode, there is a brief reminder that all the stories are connected by the same heroes and their travels. Each episode focuses on a different value, but the importance of family runs as a unifying thread through the entire series.

Each episode is divided into two parts:

The first part takes place in modern-day Almaty. The second part is a journey into a historical era or another world. In the first part, the heroes face a small problem. After returning through the portal, they solve it using the knowledge and experience gained during their journey (the past teaches the present, and by looking into the future, children learn which mistakes should be avoided today).
