SYNOPSIS:
Set in 2035, CHRYSALIS: THE MANIFEST follows Vera Navira, a respected news anchor whose life becomes intertwined with a groundbreaking experiment in artificial consciousness. Invited by visionary scientist Marin Michelson to witness the activation of an advanced humanoid android on a remote island, Vera joins Marin and her husband, neurosurgeon Kian Shayegan, for what is intended to be a controlled scientific milestone. When a catastrophic accident leaves Vera on the brink of brain death, an unprecedented intervention blurs the boundary between human consciousness and artificial intelligence. Months later, Vera returns to the news desk transformed. No longer content to simply deliver the headlines, she begins using her broadcasts to challenge society’s dependence on media, technology, and systems of control, inspiring a rapidly growing movement for intellectual and psychological awakening. As her influence spreads across the world, public support, political resistance, and social unrest escalate in equal measure. What begins as a scientific breakthrough evolves into a global confrontation over truth, identity, free will, and the future of human consciousness. At its core, CHRYSALIS: THE MANIFEST is a character-driven science-fiction drama that explores the fragile line between humanity and artificial intelligence, asking whether true awakening can transform society—or tear it apart.
