YUAN FEN

YUAN FEN
By Mike García

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Action
LOGLINE:

When a retired mercenary is hired to catch a mysterious assassin known as
"Yuan Fen", he is embarked, in spite of himself, on the path to love and
redemption

SYNOPSIS:

Mia is not a name. It is a memory buried under ten years of silence, discipline, and blood. Transformed into Yuan Fen, the most feared assassin in the international underworld, she was forged in fire by Long E’Meng, a mercenary obsessed with turning her into the replica of his late wife. Without a voice, without a past, and without mercy, Mia knows only one purpose: to kill.

When a mission takes her to New York to eliminate a powerful businessman, her path changes forever. Instead of completing the assignment, she collides with Alan, a former mercenary known as “the Child of War,” who left violence behind to build a peaceful life. Alan doesn’t see a killing machine; he sees his own reflection — another victim of war. Determined to save her, he protects her, helps her regain her voice, and welcomes her into a dysfunctional family of misfits. But Long will not accept betrayal. Upon discovering her whereabouts, he unleashes a private army on the city, triggering a bloody siege that pits police, mercenaries, and ghosts from the past against one another.

As New York burns, secrets explode: the tragedy that marked Alan, the betrayal that broke his companion Angus, Long’s destructive obsession, and the true cost of loving through trauma. In the midst of chaos, Mia must choose between the weapon she was turned into and the woman she always was. The final confrontation will not only test her loyalty but will reveal that the true Yuan Fen is not a bond imposed by destiny, but the freedom to choose, forgive, and heal.

With a cinematic pace, visceral fight choreography, and uncommon psychological depth for the genre, YUAN FEN is a story about the cost of violence, chosen family, and a love that refuses to die. A story where the past does not define us, but forces us to decide who we want to be.
