When a Broadway stage manager joins a college athletic communications department in the middle of a head coach scandal, they discover the people who manage everyone else's stories are the ones whose stories never get told.
SYNOPSIS:
Game Notes is an hour-long workplace drama set inside a Division I athletic communications department at a mid-major university. The pilot, "Exit," follows Reese Hollis, a former Broadway production stage manager starting a one-year temporary contract, through their first day, beginning with the firing of the program's head men's basketball coach. The series explores the invisible labor of athletic communications: the small-hours work of telling other people's stories, the personal costs of constant crisis management, and the family-of-coworkers built by people whose job is to make institutions look human.
