THE NOISE BETWEEN US
By Jordan Butler

GENRE: Romance, Drama
LOGLINE:

When a world-famous musician returns to touring two years after a near-fatal overdose, an unexpected romance with a rising actress forces them both to confront recovery, chronic illness, and the fear that being truly known may also mean being abandoned.

SYNOPSIS:

THE NOISE BETWEEN US is a contemporary music-industry drama about fame, recovery, and the people who teach us how to live after we've survived.

Luke is one of the biggest musicians in the world. Two years after a near-fatal overdose nearly ended his life and career, he has returned to touring determined to prove—to his fans, his management, and himself—that he's okay. But behind sold-out arenas and carefully managed public appearances, Luke is quietly struggling with the lasting neurological effects, recurring health complications, and the relentless pressure to keep performing.

Katie is a rising actress navigating her own growing visibility, anxiety, and complicated family history. When the two meet at a film festival, neither is looking for a relationship. What begins as an unlikely connection quickly becomes something deeper, forcing both of them to confront the parts of themselves they've spent years trying to outrun.

As Luke's health deteriorates and the demands of fame continue to escalate, Katie finds herself caught between loving someone and trying to save them. Together they must navigate public scrutiny, industry expectations, family wounds, sobriety, and the difficult truth that survival is only the beginning of healing.

Set against the backdrop of tours, film sets, red carpets, and crowded arenas, THE NOISE BETWEEN US is ultimately a story about identity, second chances, and learning to choose a life worth living. Combining the emotional intensity of A Star Is Born with the character-driven heart of Daisy Jones & The Six and the vulnerability of Normal People, the film explores the cost of being seen by millions while struggling to truly be known by one person.
