SOIL OF THE REVOLUTION

In a drought-stricken farm, Rosie lives with her father Jim, who takes pride in his role in the revolution. When a military unit led by Roni arrives, the ideals of the الثورة quickly turn into أدوات قمع. Roni falsely accuses Jim of treason in order to seize his land, pushing the situation toward a violent and tragic breaking point.
A year later, the farm mysteriously flourishes despite the drought, but the land carries the weight of what happened. Roni meets a disturbing fate, as if the soil itself remembers the blood that was spilled.

This is not a courtesy inclusion - our jury reviewed submissions from over 2,500 filmmakers worldwide, and your work stood out.
Here is what this means: your film will be screened on May 14th as part of our opening program, and will be featured at the red carpet event on September 12th at Uzhhorod Castle -- one of the most iconic landmarks in western Ukraine, currently one of the safest regions in the country. Beyond that, your film will be shown in 100 Ukrainian schools, including communities near the frontlines, as part of our Cinema in Schools program in collaboration with Max Sir International Film Festival.
