A meticulous satellite weapon operator must choose between duty and family when a
domestic terrorist strike puts his own family in the crosshairs of his orbital strike.
SYNOPSIS:
Ethan is a high-level military operator who manages SNIPER- an advanced orbital weapon system- from a sterile command capsule in his suburban backyard. A man of obsessive precision, Ethan balances his clinical role as an executioner of state enemies with his domestic life as a husband and father.
When a domestic secessionist group launches a coordinated terror attack, they disable the satellite network, leaving Ethan to operate with a glitching feed and a dangerous time delay. As the insurgents flee into Ethan’s own neighborhood, the lines between his "office" and his home vanish. With his wife and son caught in the crossfire and his superior demanding an immediate strike, Ethan is forced to make a harrowing choice.
He authorises the orbital blast to stop the terrorists, only to be met with a haunting silence from his family’s phones.
The story concludes with Ethan retreating into the darkness of his command capsule, a man destroyed by the very precision he lived by.
