A high-concept atmospheric sci-fi drama exploring identity, control, and invisibility in a system-driven world.
SYNOPSIS:
In a near-future city where human temperature is strictly regulated, stability is everything. Every citizen is maintained at 37°C, monitored by an invisible system that corrects any deviation before it becomes a threat.
Mariam, a precise and controlled analyst working for Aurum Risk, begins to notice small irregularities—subtle delays, disrupted reflections, and moments where reality seems to fall out of sync. When a chipped ceramic mug measuring 29.1°C enters her life, those anomalies intensify.
As her connection to the system weakens, Mariam discovers that people who fall outside the acceptable range are not corrected—they are erased. Her partner Ryan begins to fade from the system’s perception, becoming invisible to others while still existing in fragments of reality.
Refusing to let him disappear completely, Mariam follows the anomaly beneath the surface of the city, into an unmonitored layer where the rules no longer apply. There, she encounters others who have slipped beyond the system’s control—and a different kind of order begins to emerge.
As her own “observability” drops toward zero, Mariam must confront a final choice: return to the system and lose what remains of Ryan, or fully step into the gap and become something the system can no longer define.
AVALON is an atmospheric science fiction drama about identity, control, and what remains when a system can no longer see you.
