When their father is assassinated, three brothers born with a rare blood-altering virus are pulled into a brutal succession war inside a modern coven dynasty, where biology, loyalty, and violence determine who survives.
SYNOPSIS:
BLOODRITE unfolds within the hidden world of modern coven dynasties—families whose power comes not from myth or magic, but from HTV, a rare hematophagic virus that rewrites the body, heightens the senses, and demands a daily price in blood. This is biology, not folklore. Evolution, not superstition. And it has shaped the Drăghici family for generations.
When CEZAR DRĂGHICI, the cold, calculating patriarch of the Drăghici coven, is assassinated, the fragile balance between Romania’s blood-altered dynasties collapses. His three sons—DACIAN, the disciplined heir raised to inherit the empire; PETRE, the volatile enforcer whose impulses make him both weapon and liability; and LUCA, the compassionate outlier who has distanced himself from the family’s violent legacy—are each given a sealed task designed to test judgment, loyalty, and the willingness to protect the dynasty at any cost.
Dacian eliminates a traitor with clinical precision. Luca defies his assignment by sparing a civilian and inducting her into the coven through controlled viral exposure. Petre delivers a brutal warning to a rival smuggler—only to be ambushed by assassins sent by VIKTOR CREȚU, leader of a rival coven and the Drăghici family’s oldest enemy.
The brothers reunite in a grounded, visceral fight sequence that exposes the biological reality of their condition: heightened reflexes, accelerated healing, and the constant threat of collapse if their platelet levels drop too low. Their survival forces the Drăghici Council into crisis mode. Surveillance footage leaks online, triggering ruthless damage control. RUXANDRA, Cezar’s sister, maneuvers for influence as the Council fractures under pressure.
Dacian and Petre launch a surgical assault on the Crețu stronghold. In a quiet, devastating confrontation, they execute Viktor—only to discover that the breach that killed their father came from inside their own walls. The truth detonates the family from within: Ruxandra orchestrated the coup, believing the dynasty needed new leadership.
Dacian executes her in a cold, ceremonial act that marks the end of the old order. Luca chooses love and exile, escaping with Nadia to the sanctuary of the Ardelean coven. Dacian ascends as the new Leader—calm, controlled, and alone. Petre, recovering from his injuries, begins to experience subtle changes he cannot explain.
In a mid-credit sequence, Petre’s eyes shift to a predatory gold as medical tests confirm the impossible: the virus inside him is changing.
BLOODRITE is a grounded, prestige thriller about family, biology, and the cost of power—set in a world where “vampires” aren’t supernatural, but the result of a rare, weaponized evolution.
