TRAP STAR
By Markice Moore

GENRE: Science Fiction, Music, Comedy
LOGLINE:

When SpaceGod, a green alien child raised in Atlanta, crash-lands back home as a war-scarred adult rapper, Mama Joyce and the neighborhood have to turn a viral spectacle into a family reunion before the galaxy catches up.

SYNOPSIS:

In 2001, Mama Joyce prays in her Atlanta backyard for a child and sees a star fall out of the sky. Inside the pod is a green baby with eyes full of stars. She raises him as SpaceGod: Falcons jersey, daycare family, church love, neighborhood normalcy, and a secret too strange to explain. Then he is gone, pulled back into the sky and into a war nobody on Earth understands.

Years later, a Zykonian starfighter crashes near Mama Joyce's Little Stars Daycare and SpaceGod returns as an adult soldier with a rapper's swagger, an alien past, and a city ready to turn him into content. Dez wants a documentary. Podcasts want spectacle. Church wants answers. Mama Joyce wants her son home and fed. TRAP STAR is an Atlanta sci-fi music comedy about adoption, fame, alien identity, viral culture, and the absurd tenderness of a neighborhood trying to love somebody the whole universe wants to claim.
